For ages I have tried to get a photo of my cat Persik (Russian word for 'peach') but she is impossible to get a shot at. She is scared of camera and looks away or just runs away
But today I got one quite good one. She was too sleepy and too lazy to run away from me.


So here she is, napping near my laptop.

My old camera died three days ago. It was Sony DSC-T3, silver, compact and very easy to use. Unfortunately, Sony stopped releasing this model some years ago, and I don't like modern T-series models.

There is no better place in the whole world than home.

Today I joined 21 st century and bought wireless keyboard and mouse for my computer. I needed to replace the old keyboard and mouse on my backup desktop PC. These items work great and work well over my room.
I thought that they wouldn't work from across my room, but they worked well. And all the extra buttons do are very useful and convenient.

Theres nothing worse than having a really yummy piece of cherry pie and fresh cream only to find a huge hard cherry stone in it. I hate that. And I hate dentists.

I noticed that while I've been away from here a lot of journals that I used to read vanished or became 'friends only'. It looks like I'm going to spend my weekend begging people 'please, add me'.

This week has been crazy, quite possibly my busiest one yet since I moved to Project Management Departmentnd join their incredible team!

I really love working for M+F Zander, everyday is a world of unpredictable events and I'm surounded by people who do their work with genuine passion. Not to mention, it's the only place in the world where I can have legitimate conversations about everything and recieve answers even on my most stupid questions in the world.

One of the coolest things about my job is the fact that I get to be part of a team of people who help put together challenging projects all around the world. Today you are having business trip to Singapore, tomorrow you will be somewhere in Africa.
I hear there's some scary stuff going down throughout the world recently, have any of you guys noticed anything? Personally, the scariest thing I've seen this week involves a shutdown of five of our projects. I hope it will be all of it.

I have a new Journal Look!!!
My older look which I loved kept messing up on and off on both my browsers and decided to get a new look, I looked for a while to make a CSS journal to work well with both IE and firefox ...then I found this one of standarts looks and decided to take it.

Almost every time I write a journal entry I start by apologising to everyone and this time won’t be different. Once again I wanted to say sorry for my absence and lack of response to notes/e-mails. Due to a humongous amount of real-life obligations, I am finding myself bouncing between work and, uh, more work most of my time.

I am horrified noticing I have not published anything in here for nearly a half of the year, because 2008 has been among my most busy times. I have not had any time to write here, and have spent the past months working on new projects. I manage all stages of civil engineering projects, from consultation, planning and construction, to operation and modernisation measures. It's a real "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" situation.


I hope to be back soon!

I took these pictures before leaving to Sheremetievo airport. It's a view from the flat where I lived almost three years.

I've been in Belgium since June 15. It's good to be home at last.
I was promoted at work. It wasn't a completely unexpected event. Of course I 'm glad to get better salary but now I don't have to travel a lot. That's bad. I adore visiting new places.

I'm temporarily staying at my parents' house and looking for a flat to rent. Internet connection isn't good here.
